L.A. Live on Earth Pacific fanaccount
L.A. Live on Earth Pacific fanaccount
This is a really long-ass fanaccount. You have been warned.
So me and Josh (bangingyongguk) got to the venue at around 5:15 after being stuck in traffic for an hour. And then we got lost trying to find the parking structure. THE PAPER SAID BLOCK W (I wish it was Block B LOL) BUT THERE WAS NO SIGN THAT SAID BLOCK W. I SWEAR.
Anyway, after 30 minutes of trying to find the place, we parked and headed to the venue. We met up with Laurin/Inc (fuckyeahimababy) and I met some girls that were in line in front of us. They took pictures of our signs xD
(As a side note, I wasn’t really planning on using these, but thank goodness I made them. The concert was so frikking hot and these worked as REALLY good fans xD)
I was supposed to meet up with Joanne (lunasea08) so I could give her a nametag, but I couldn’t get in contact with her.
Okay so I’ll cut to the good part because I’m sure that’s what people want to read about.
After going through security (metal detectors and everything!) Josh and I made our way to pit. Even though we were really late, we ended up like 15-20 feet away from the stage. Pit wasn’t filled up so there was a lot of empty room behind us.
Right before the concert started, I heard someone calling my name, which was odd because I wasn’t planning on having anyone know me xD Turns out it was Joanne and she recognized me from my fansign! I guess it served as a multi-functional piece tonight.
The concert opened with some cheesy English lines. Something about six boys coming to earth to find a new energy source. And something about where does pain come from and why do we cry ¯\(°_o)/¯
(I’ll probably mix up the order of things)
WOW. JUST WOW. You know how you see idols on TV. and you’re like. Oh lighting. Oh photoshop. THESE BOYS ARE SERIOUSLY FLAWLESS IN REAL LIFE. IT’S LIKE THEY JUST STEPPED OUT FROM MY SCREEN OR SOMETHING.
I thought they were going to open with Goodbye since they kept highlighting the words Pain and Cry but they actually opened with Warrior (makes sense LOL). They looked SO good in their white and gold outfits. I pretty much just watched Himchan because I haven’t seen him perform non-ballad songs for months and months. But they were all so amazing. Their vocals were perfect and their choreo was perfectly synced.
Babyz were pretty awesome too. We shouted the parts we were supposed to shout at even though the whistles were kinda everywhere at first xD IT’S OKAY GUYS. I KNEW WHEN TO BLOW MY WHISTLE.
They sang What the Hell followed up by No Mercy.
HOLY ALKSDJALKSDJALKSDJALDSKJASLDKJASDASD. No Mercy is my favorite B.A.P song/era still and seeing it live for the second time was still just as *insert more fangirl shrieking here.* ngl, I was very much looking forward to the crotch grabbing and hip thrusting. They did not disappoint *brb dies a little bit from the memory.*
Yongguk and Daehyun followed up with the acoustic version of I Remember. HOLY SHIZZNITS. When we were driving to the venue, I was telling Josh how I really want to hear them perform the acoustic version live. It’s one of my FAVORITE songs. I pretty much went bat-shit nuts when I heard the first chords to it. And then when I thought it was over (I was basing it off of the version from Live on Earth Seoul), they actually sang an extended version. I pretty much just melted then and there.
After I Remember, the four other members came out to sing Secret Love (another song I was hoping to hear, but I thought they wouldn’t because they didn’t have a featured female singer). Instead, I got an even better surprise. Himchan and Youngjae frigging sang Jieun’s parts. Whoever says Himchan can’t sing after that performance, I will punch you in the face. I love Secret Love with Jieun, but WOW. With just the B.A.P members singing it, it was just 10x more amazing.
Yongguk and Daehyun rejoined the members and they performed Rain Sound. I don’t even know what to say. I was so so so so happy that Himchan’s lines weren’t cut this time :DDD
There was this moment though when Zelo was playing with one of the chairs, and this backup dancer just came out and took the chair from him LOL.
The boys then introduced themselves with their Engrish. Good Lawdy Lawd. I didn’t know whether to laugh, cry, or praise them. Youngjae and Yongguk spoke the most English. Youngjae totally had to translate for his wife Daehyun. They were actually pretty good with their accents but you can tell that some of their dialogue was rehearsed xD
This one time Youngjae had to repeat himself because everyone was like “Huh?” I actually leaned forward to hear what he was saying.
AND YES. This was around the time that I was holding up my Himchan sign and I’m 100% sure he caught eye contact with me and stuck his tongue out. And yes. I was so smooth that I hid my face from…embarrassment? I don’t know what I was doing. I PANICKED.
Their profiles were all SO frikking cute. Yongguk’s actually said Gummy Smile on it xDD Daehyun kept encouraging us to chant each member’s name as they went up. But when he went up, nobody was there to start the cheer. So I started screaming “DAEHYUN DAEHYUN DAEHYUN” until everyone else caught on xD
Himchan showed us his psycho eyes (YES I WAS TOTALLY LOOKING FORWARD TO THAT). Daehyun showed us his 7-high-note ability (ALDKAJDASD IT’S AMAZING LIVE). I was laughing how his profile said “outstanding looks.” Not that I don’t think he’s good looking. It was just really random.
I really wanted Youngjae to show us his lost belly fat but he didn’t :( Jongup showed us his dance skills while Yongguk beatboxed even though everyone obviously just really wanted him to rip his shirt off. IT’S OKAY. HE’S LEGAL NOW. I was also really amused how his profile said “Happy Virus.” Zelo showed us his beatboxing. But LOL. His height profile “6’03 and growing.” He was the only member who didn’t fit into the silhouette xD
The boys left to prepare for the second half (“We have a lot of songs to go!”).
Daehyun and Youngjae sang “I Believe I Can Fly.” I’m pretty sure I didn’t pay attention to any of the lyrics besides the chorus because of the effing love stares DaeJae were giving each other. Me and Josh were just like GET CLOSE TOGETHER. GET CLOSER!!!!
Jongup and Zelo followed up with Teach Me How to Dougie. I didn’t know where to look. JAILBAIT EVERYWHURR. THEY WERE SO CUTE THOUGH. They genuinely looked like they were having fun and Jongup’s damn open shirt with undone tie was giving me a nosebleed. I still wanted him to take his shirt off.
Jongup and Zelo went straight into their performance of Never Give Up. I was REALLY hoping they would perform this song too and it was a very nice surprise that it was the maknae line performing it. And wow. All their ninja flipping and acrobatics. No wonder Jongup’s so frikking ripped. He’s able to do a backflip with no hands. And then there’s Zelo and his frikking jailbait school uniform and b-boying T___T
Yongguk came on as a DJ and kept saying “You’re so sexy.” Somewhere in the 4th “You’re so Sexy” I just yelled out “YEAH YOU ARE.”
Yongguk and Himchan came out to perform Sexy Clap. Let me tell you, FAVORITE PERFORMANCE OF THE NIGHT (minus One Shot). I seriously thought I was going to die from feels. They both looked SO good but being a Himchan stan, I couldn’t stop watching Himchan. He was just oozing sexy everywhere. Is there a sexy pheromone? We were all jumping and shouting. It was pretty chaotic but SO much fun.
Then all of B.A.P performed My First Kiss. Honestly I don’t think I heard anything. Just yelling and jumping and all these crazy screams. AND YONGGUK NO. THAT HIP THRUST SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED. NO WAIT. THERE SHOULD BE MORE. AND EFFING HIMCHAN. GOOD GOLLY YOU ARE AWKWARD WITH HIP THRUSTING BUT HOT DAMN. THAT WAS JUST *insert dying whale noises*
We were all on this high when B.A.P left to take a short changing break. We were all screaming B.A.P and then they decided to play a really sad clip talking about poverty. I could actually see the tension drop below zero.
They came back to the stage with One Shot. I’m pretty sure this is the moment where I lost my voice. I was screaming so hard for Himchan since this was his first One Shot performance live. I was pretty much drowning in a river of feels. I was a tad disappointed that they didn’t do the hipthrust thing because there wasn’t enough space for them to all lay down LOL. But really.
BEST. ONE. SHOT. PERFORMANCE. YET.
It finally felt complete. All six of them on stage. There were no more awkward gaps or a spot that you knew where Himchan was supposed to be. It was just so amazing. I wanted to cry. I’m getting lame here okay.
They performed Power. YES. WE SAW THEM DO THE BUTT SLAP. I was so satisfied because had a very clear view of Himchan’s butt ಠ‿ಠ They performed Punch and I was SO happy because I realllllly wanted to see Punch live. alsdjasldkjsdasdkjad SO GOOD.
B.A.P then said they were ending with Goodbye (another song I wanted to hear) and we were all confused since they hadn’t performed Crash or Hajima yet.
Of course they knew we would want an encore. After screaming for them to come back to the stage, B.A.P performed Coma. Following that was Hajima. Omg. They are SO cute. I love their cuter songs because they get to fool around and poke each other ;; Although I was looking forward to a flying Yongguk crotch and that didn’t happen.
The ending song (and very fitting) was Crash. Me and Josh were kind of just dancing like idiots in the back xD
People were throwing things onto the stage and B.A.P was throwing things into the crowd. Yongguk got bopped in the head with a stuffed animal and somebody hit Zelo with a cap. Zelo sort of looked up and had a wtf look on his face.
There was another girl that threw something at Daehyun. According to some other people, it was a pair of panties? But I didn’t see anything. I only saw a stuffed animal. Either way, Daehyun looked at her and shook his finger pretty sternly.
Yongguk threw water into the crowd twice and Youngjae threw a bottle and a towel. Zelo threw in two towels and Himchan threw in one.
This was definitely one of the best experiences of my life and MAN I still can’t wrap my head around it. Part of me is like “I just watched B.A.P in super high def.” There was a moment where Youngjae just killed me. HE DID THIS STUPID THING:
I knew Youngjae has a small face. But HE REALLY HAS A SMALL FACE. If I were to say one person that has gotten more charismatic since KCON, it’s definitely Jae. He sort of captures your attention when you’re not paying attention. I don’t know if that made any sense.
AND DAEHYUN’S FRIKKING ARMS. OMG. THEY’RE LIKE THE SIZE OF MY HEAD (okay not really but). Everyone was kinda like DAYUUUUUUM BOY.
I’m pretty sure that every single member caught eye contact with me and Josh at least once during the concert. I may be delusional, but I’m pretty sure I caught eye contact with Daehyun at least 10 times. There was no one behind us so he couldn’t have been looking there. unless he like looking at the floor or something. I also caught eye contact with Youngjae several times, and Himchan and Zelo a few times. Yongguk was hard to tell because he kept wearing sunglasses LOL. But then again. I was standing next to Josh. A Hispanic male waving around a Yongguk sign with a bunny on it. Kids, if you want to attract attention, bring one of these along LOL.
B.A.P said their goodbyes. And said that they would never forget their first concert in America. The staff took a picture with B.A.P and the fans (pretty sure I did NOT show up because everyone in the front put up their signs). I didn’t put my sign up because I didn’t want to block anyone in floor seating. That didn’t work.
The boys then bowed with their backup dancers and Himchan kept taking pictures. I GUARANTEE I WILL BE IN ONE OF THEM. I SAW HIS CAMERA POINTED RIGHT AT ME AND THAT FANTASTIC SIGN OF MINE.
They closed the curtains and that was the end!
Afterwards, Josh and I hung out outside the venue to wait for Joanne and Laurin. I actually ran into on of my followers Anna (dongwool)! I was actually realllllly excited that somebody that I see on my dash recognized me :DDDDDDDD
Josh, Laurin, and I just hung out and talked about the concert until we met up with Joanne. We ended up going to eat soondubu and just chatting. While waiting to see which soondubu place we were going to, the three of us literally bummed it in the parking garage for like 20 minutes xD
All in all, I met REALLY great people and had an experience of a lifetime.
Anywhos this has been a very long fanaccount with many unnecessary details.
tl:dr *dying whale noise*
P.S. Josh and I made some “after the concert” videos in the car on the way home. That will be a different post LOL

[TRANS] MAY 2013 - HALLYU PIER - YONGGUK & ZELO
We’re finally at our last issue! Thank you so much for taking care of us, we are eternally grateful.
Y – Yongguk Z – Zelo
Y: Since this is the last issue, we should put in our all.
Z: Yes!
Y: Zelo do you still remember when we first met?
Z: Of course I do, Yongguk hyung you were with Himchan hyung having a serious conversation in the dance studio, the atmosphere was eerie. (laughs) But no matter what I still had to greet you, and when I did, the only respond I got was “Ah” (laughs) I will never forget about that.
Y: Ah~~ Yes, when B.A.P was formed, all the other people who worked with us previously left not too long after, so we were wondering when Zelo will leave too. (laughs)
Z: To be honest at first I found hyung really frightening and intimidating (laughs) But back then, I still thought that he really was born to be a leader.
Y: Zelo was really young when he joined B.A.P, so I was especially worried about him. After all we do have quite a large age difference, however because he was able to clearly separate his personal and work related matters, and that he had a good sense of judgement, I was a lot more assured. But then again, it’s all because of my careful upbringing!
Z: Yes~ (laughs) I learned a lot from Yongguk hyung. I learned how to interact with others, and I found that rather than learning from books and theories, it is more rewarding to do things hands on and interact with my hyungs to learn more about them. Yongguk hyung sometimes do really crazy things even though he seems like such a calm and collected person. For example, he will just barge out of his room, open the fridge door and mutter something incoherent at us before going back to his room again… which made us all laugh.
Y: Ah~~ these things shouldn’t be brought up (embarrassed) If I was the same age as Zelo, I reckon we would become really close friends.
Z: Rather than being friends, I think it’s more suitable for us to become opponents. Just like now, our relationship will be one where we both try our hardest to reach our goals and in the process, we will be able to help each other grow and improve.
Y: Really~ Zelo, if you had a noona you would introduce her to me right?
Z: Of course~ Even though hyung gives off a cold impression, he is actually really gentle to ladies and he’s also really manly.
Y: Hehehe (shy) These interviews so far have been talking about working along with different partners, but I reckon Jongup wins the title of “not being able to work well with a partner”.
Z: Jongup hyung’s mind is really difficult to grasp. (laughs) Even though we spend so much time with him there are still multiple occasions where none of us understand him. He looks older than his age, it’s confusing.
Y: I really like how Jongup is like that though. People should be showing others their natural selves. He is really exactly the same in real life as he is presented on TV. He doesn’t care about his appearance and has a really pure and innocent heart. He is the one member whom I still haven’t been able to fully understand.
Z: I think I’m the one who knows him best though!
Y: Well that concludes our last interview.
Z: Hallyu Pier is the first Japanese Magazine that we were interviewed for, and I still find it a little hard to believe that we have been able to appear on so many issues! The filming and the interviewing had all been really fun!
Y: I hope that through these interviews, our fans are able to understand us more. Idols are not only celebrities, but they are also role models that children look up to. B.A.P will see that as our goal and we will try our best to fulfill that.
Z: I agree~ And we hope that everyone will be able to shine in their areas of expertise at least one in their lifetimes.
Y: Thank you for everyone who supported us in the past year. We are really grateful and really happy that we are gaining more and more fans. I would like to thank you all once again. It’s a shame that this is finally coming to an end, we look forward to working with Hallyu Pier again in the future, please anticipate!

B.A.P
At long last on their way to Japan!
At long last on their way to Japan!
B.A.P debuted in Korea in January of last year. Their performance overflows with charisma, as they drive forward heating up the Korean music world, they are the ones to watch. With their first solo concert in Korea of February this year, at long last they’re on their way to Japan! Overflowing with the feeling that “We want to meet our Japanese BABYz soon!” we interview B.A.P before their arrival in Japan.
Q: B.A.P is a group that has claimed 13 rookie awards domestically, and also has the eyes of the world watching, but you haven’t been able to take a rest with all the running around you’ve been doing since your debut. Looking back now, what memories have you made?
Yongguk: I can never forget “B.A.P Live on Earth Seoul.” To make the best show possible, we really co-operated a lot, people who came just to see music, sang and joined their voices to become one, I was really happy. From now on, I want to continue greeting fans though our concerts.
Himchan: The thing that stands out in my memory the most, and was a happy experience, was “1st BABY Day.” It was our original fanclub, so preparations were fun. While we were preparing all the members were practicing together, I remember how exciting it was. There were times we were busy promoting albums, but we forgot how tired we were and did our best, and we had fun.
Daehyun: For me, it’s the first Showcase. We debuted under the name B.A.P, it was the first time being together with the members on stage, even now it’s fresh in my mind. We were usually just in the rehearsal space, so as we were in front of a lot of people showing ourselves for the first time, we were really nervous, but seeing all the fans who filled the venue, I remember my goosebumps.
Young Jae: For me, it’s the reality show with the members before our debut that was very fun for me, also “B.A.P Live on Earth Seoul” made memories for me that are impossible to forget. Usually we were the image we showed on camera, but getting the chance to be in front of fans and showing them something completely different made me very happy.
Jong Up: It’s the time we won the Rookie Award, for me. When we first debuted, our goal was to win the Rookie Award, so when our goal was realized I was so happy. I can’t really believe it even now.
Zelo: For me it’s also when we won the Rookie Award, I don’t think I’ll forget it. At the time we won, I was surprised and my heart was so full I couldn’t speak and could only cry, but I was so happy.
Q: This year you’ve released “Rain sound” and “One Shot,” what was the concept for this mini-album?
YG: “One Shot” was our second mini album, and is the album with the most B.A.P “Color” in it. Especially with the title song “One Shot,” young people are facing chances that come to them, they become able to grasp an opportunity and chase it with all their strength, it’s a song where the meaning and the hip hop come together with passion and heat. The more you listen to it the more you hear, it’s a really appealing track.
Q: I want to ask a question about “Rain Sound,” What do you think on rainy days?
DH: I of course think of our song “Rain Sound.” Lately I really will just look at the rain and start humming “Rain Sound,” that’s how much I’m into it right now.
HC: I remember a day before we debuted where it rained very hard. There was a landslide, so there was mud everywhere, and we did our best to clean up in front of where we were staying. It was really tough, but thinking about it now is fun.
Q: You went all the way to the Philippines to shoot for the music video “One Shot,” please tell us some stories about what it was like there.
Jong Up: When we went to the Philippines, we weren’t feeling very brave. Around that time, there was a serious incident with a Korean, so we didn’t leave the hotel at night. Even when we did leave the hotel, security was on us right away and we let them guard us. It was our first time in the Philippines, so we really did want to have a look around, but aside from filming we didn’t really get to have any fun, so it was pretty disappointing. We’d like to go back again soon.
Q: Your style for “One Shot” was black clothing, what styles do you normally like? Are there any items you are fond of right now?
HC: I’m interested in coats right now, on cold days I often wear a jacket. I also like shoes and belts.
DH: For me I usually like to wear knitted or leather jackets, I also like glasses and watches.
Z: There’s a lot of clothes I like, but I’m interested in hats, belts, and small accessories. I like shoes and jackets, so I like to search for things that go well together for a cute look.
Q: On the 23rd and 24th of February you had your first solo concert in Korea. How was it?
YJ: It really is an honour to have been able to have a solo concert this quickly in our career, everything was like a dream. As Daehyun said at the concert, we wanted to had a hand in everything, from the project planning to the concert itself, we worked tirelessly and cooperated to create the best stage. It was a concert with no regrets.
Q: When Bang Yongguk is on variety shows, you seem uncharistarically shy since you show so much charisma on stage. It’s that “gap”* that makes women swoon, but do you make some switch as you climb onto the stage?
YG: That is really the power of music and the stage, I think. If I just stand on the stage, the “me” I hide inside shows itself completely, I’ve never really been surprised even once about this happening. It’s an honor to hear that this is something girls like! haha.
Q: Himchan is from a national music school, but how does that play out? For “No Mercy,” Traditional Korean drums were your contribution. From now on, can we hear some hip-hop infused with these traditional music?
HC: I used the drums because it was something I’d seen at school. It was something I’m proud of and have lots of feeling about. From then on I’d been interested in traditional music. Personally, working on “No Mercy,” it’s very special to me and my heart overflowed making it. If I have another chance, I’d like to have fun making another song like that.
Q: Daehyun is nicknamed “Busan Boy”, Do you think you are a Busan Boy? There’s the image that those men are very rough, but Daehyun doesn’t fit that image.
DH: When I first met the members, it seemed like I gave off that aura of the tough man from Busan. Usually I don’t really realize it, but sometimes I’ll get angry, get powerful, and I think I have qualities of Busan men then.
Q: This year Jong Up graduated from high school. Congratulations. I think it must be difficult to go to school with B.A.P’s promotions, how was high school?
JU: Just as you said, I was not able to properly attend school. Because of that, I didn’t feel that I was in school…I was going to school when B.A.P debuted, but my classmates had no idea who I was (laughs). In fact, when I entered school I was living the trainee and vocalist lifestyle as well as being a student, but I don’t have any memories of how fun school was. That’s really sad for me.
Q: Young Jae, you did a duet with Secret’s Sona, and there was none of B.A.P’s character (in that song). How was the duet?
YJ: It was not a song made with members of B.A.P, but made with my senior, so I was a bit nervous. However, Sona noona eased my nerves, she brought my qualities out. It was not B.A.P’s Young Jae but a different image than what I show on stage, and it was trying something completely different, I think.
Q: Zelo has the super fast “LTE Rap,” it really is surprisingly fast, when did you start rapping like that?
Z: From when I was a kid I wanted to be a singer, while I watched musicians performing in TV, I practiced by myself but I didn’t start seriously practicing until I became a trainee. When B.A.P debuted I was able to rap so quickly, but I think I can say it was the result of continued practice! Haha.
Q: Is there anything that is really popular with the members right now?
YJ: Lately all the members have been playing with “Konginori” (a game with a type of marble) a lot in our dressing room. We bet on things, and have fun playing in any free time we have. It’s more fun than you’d think.
Q: Speaking personally, do any of you have any news or info to share?
Z: I’m really into western hip-hop right now. Whenever where’re traveling, or when we’re waiting in our dressing room, I’m looking for and listening to music, and watching cool performances for ‘research.’ I’m so into it I don’t realize time going by.
D: Whenever I have the time, I’m actually practicing since I think I’m the worst out of us all. (?)
HC: For me it’s Japanese. Since I needed to recover after my injury, I’ve been studying since I was resting.
Q: If B.A.P were to collaborate with a Japanese artist, who would you choose? I heard that “Uta hiroba”-san from the popular Japanese air band likes Zelo.
Z: Really? Thank you “Uta hiroba”-san! I’m really honored. I’ll look for their music after this. For me, since I was a trainee I was listening to and dancing to Hikaru Utada and m-flo, so if we worked together I’d be really happy.
HC: For me, I’d be happy to collaborate with the group that sings “Marry Me,” the punk rock group ELLEGARDEN.
DH: If I could duet with her, I’d want to work with Namie Amuro together to stage.
Q: Tell us about your schedule today.
HC: First we have plans for promotions for our second mini-album “One Shot.” This year we will meet a lot of foreign fans so we are preparing to show our best. Please expect a lot from us.
Q: What are your aspirations for the year 2013?
YG: I want to work even harder making music, music and more interactions with fans.
HC: I got injured and couldn’t promote, so as soon as possible I want to recover and do my best promoting with the other members.
YJ: Last year we had the goal to win the Rookiw Award, so just as we kept moving and moving forward realizing our dreams, this year our goal is to perform overseas.
Q: What challenge do you want to do next?
JU: Our challenge is as always, “Conquer the World.” Like our “B.A.P Live On Earth” Tour, go to other countries, through our music make the name B.A.P name well known, that’s our challenge!
Q: Japan is the country where many K-pop acts visit, but I think there are Japanese fans who have really been waiting for B.A.P to visit.
YG: To the Japanese fans who have loved us, thank you so much. In May, we’ll be performing in Yokohama at the Pacifico National Convention Hall for our first solo concert “B.A.P Live on Earth Japan!” Because we will be able to meet our Japanese fans at last, we are really excited. Because we will be able to meet our Japanese fans, we’re really nervous and will have a lot of fun!
YJ: It’s the first time we will go to Japan to meet our fans there, so we are very excited and want to be as close as possible to the fans, and if we get the chance, to talk to them as well we will be really happy. I really want to meet the Japanese fans, I think you can understand my feelings.
DH: For the fans who are in Japan, we want to get a bit close to you, if we can have a special event for you it’d be fun. Also, all of us are checking each and everyone’s messages on the fan cafe and SNS! Thank you so much!
HC: For our first solo concert in Japan, we have plans for lots of preparations, please expect a lot from us!
JU: I’ll continue doing my best, and co-operate to show my best. Please keep watch over us.
Z: Thank you so much all Japanese fans. We love you. Let’s meet soon!
